The things that we have lost, perhaps can once again be reclaimed.
Shards (c) Silent Afterglow 2012
The transparent wind blows,
rustling together with the sound of the wings,
come, let’s seek the things we lost long ago.
Cross then plopped on the bed, next to the already asleep Archadia, the brunette was breathing soundly as she was drifting in the realm of sleep, a dreamless sleep in which she can let her whole being to rest, peacefully. The man with silver locks then stared at the sleeping girl beside him impassively, before he slipped his arms and locked her in his embrace.
Blurring with uneven smiles,
resounding with each other like echoes,
the memories come apart.
The light flower petals
Have risen and melted away in the blueness of the sky.
I earnestly believed that I wanted to always protect everything,
and that doing so would bring these beloved days to me.
Within the revolving, revolving time,
you’ve always been at my side,
just like the sunlight filtered through the foliage just was close to me.
No matter what he's going through, Archadia always sticks close to him. She had always been his source of support, she is always there when he seemed to be alone. In return, Cross had been her emotional support, Cross had told her that he's always there for her, even after he drifted to his long sleep. His promise did resound through time and space, even though his soul and his body were in different places, unreachable by anyone. She was as close as a draw of breath.
The tears that endlessly overflow in my face
are because of how gentle this world is.
Now, I know too about the existence
of that warm miracle.
Miracle. Once for Cross, that word is simply empty, without meaning. Without any power, useless without effort. However miracles had saved he more than once or twice. He considers it miracle everytime things that he thought would not turn out well results often better than what he had imagined, even though it doesn't always occur but for the man with raw blue eyes, it is amazing on how miracles changed his life.
Even if I get swallowed within the sad darkness,
I’m not alone anymore,
and we can extend and tie our hands with each other whenever we want.
Cross had always thought that he had to do his personal things alone, without others' help. He simply withdrew to inside his shell; and then landed a deadly blow, crushing anyone daring enough to intrude his personal matters. Cross once believed that he alone could do all things, but then he realized that he's mere human, not a god. He still needs help from others, and that's the exact reason Cross dislike relationship with people. However now, he had tried to be more open for some people, and it indeed worked out well.
The fragments of these faraway wishes shake,
and together with the shining memories that strongly and transiently laugh,
we’ll ride on that unfading hope.
The silverette faintly remembered the last time he had ever wished for anything. If anything, he only wished that Archadia could be happy, no matter what pressure or circumstances they're under, he could barely remember if he wished for anything else, or maybe he had never wished for anything else since the deaths of their parents. However along with time, now he realized that wishing for his well-being is not bad after all, and he sensed that it will take a long time before he get himself accustomed to it.
His memories sometimes become his strength, yet sometimes dragged him down. The visions of past, his mistakes, the heart-breaking moments he yield weighed him down, making him unable to move, afraid of repeating the same mistake.
Revolve, revolve and overcome time,
now, I want to offer to you, my beloved,
a flower bouquet as a token of my gratitude.
Yes, he had wanted to tell Archadia that he owes his existence for her, his conviction remained unflinching even at the impossible odds presented before him. It is because of the girl that kept on pushing him forward, the sole base of his stone resolution to protect everything and everyone. Even though he cannot present any flower bouquet to her or anything else with the feminine aura, he was pretty sure that he is able to stay beside her was more than enough to her.
I'm glad because my heart is trembling now,
because it tells me I'm alive.
Come now, and let’s return to the future together.
His heart was fluttering. The heartbeat of both his and his sister's hearts confirmed that he is indeed alive, and his mind was silently smiling, without his realization, a faint smile was across his lips. With her, with his friends, he is no longer afraid of chasing after the future, unafraid of what the future may holds. He is certain that everything shall be alright, from here on out. Even though the dark clouds may come after them, clouding and darkening the path before the two, Cross is assured that everything will be fine. Because miracles do exist, and they tell them that he's living in the realm of living, near those who are dear to him.
Within the transparent light, a rainbow fish is swimming,
where it'll head, as it flutters its tail, covered in laces?
I’ve found everything I had lost.
